01The world

A whole city around the card table.

Everyone starts in the capital. Walk its roads, see the other players and chat: the tavern, the arena and the Market Square are a few steps apart.

The capital seen from above in the game: the tavern with its red roof, the round stone arena, the Market Square with its stalls and the Market Board, a pond and the roads out of town.
In gameThe capital from above
  1. The tavern

Twelve card tables. Sit at an empty one and wait for a challenger, or play Innkeeper Bram and Wandering Bard Lyra.

  2. The arena

Ranked matches all season long, and the Champions' Final for those who beat all five champions.

  3. The Market Square

The Market Board, where players trade cards with each other.

  4. The roads out

Five regions beyond the gates, one for each faction, opened one after another.

Beyond the gates

Each region has three card players and a champion. Beat them to win their faction's cards; a champion's first defeat gives its own Legendary card.

02The card game

Ten mana. Six creatures. One hero to bring down.

Quick to read, deep to master. Build your board turn by turn against another player at the tables, or against the realm's card masters.

A match on the tavern table against Innkeeper Bram: a YOUR TURN banner over the board, four creatures on Bram's side, a hand of Kingdom cards below, mana crystals at the right.

  1. Swap

    The opening hand

Draw your opening hand, and swap the cards you do not want.

  2. 10

    Mana

Mana grows by one each turn, up to ten. Spend it on creatures and spells.

  3. 6

    Creatures a side

Up to six creatures on each side of the board.

  4. 75

    Seconds a turn

Every turn lasts at most 75 seconds, so matches keep moving.

  5. 25

Bring the other hero from 25 health to zero to win.

Three keywords to start

  • Castle Guard, a Kingdom creature card: 3 mana, 1 attack, 5 health, Guard.

    Guard

Guard creatures must be attacked first. Put a wall between your hero and harm.

  • Hired Sellsword, a Neutral creature card: 3 mana, 3 attack, 2 health, Swift.

    Swift

Swift creatures attack at once, the turn you play them.

  • Crossbowman, a Kingdom creature card: 2 mana, 2 attack, 2 health. Entry: deal 1 damage to an enemy creature.

    Entry

An Entry effect happens as the creature comes into play.

Decks hold 30 cards from at most two factions plus Neutral.

Every deck is built from one or two factions and the Neutral cards anyone can play. Pick your banner; win the rest.
